SASSA Will Take Services to Fernie Neighborhood
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies towards the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regards to the high range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider position designed for intervention activities a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to allow the servicing of all customers and increase usage of SRD Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
